If mesopotamia was such a great civilization why is it now gone? not being rude, but just wondering why?? I know some of that area has a new name, but why would they change the name?? I would love to live like some of the people their for a week or two. just to see what it was like for people in those times. now a day if we had to survive on our own, we would be so lost and might die.
I really liked hearing about all the different foods and seeing all the ways the prepared it. I would like to see more about the daily life then and now it seems so interesting to me to learn of all the different daily activities.
I really enjoyed this video mostly because I learned how much our present day civilization owes to the people of the aincent society. Our time, min into seconds, the wheel, writing, tames nature, they loved the arts and built cities! they were crazy amazing. :)
its interesting how some aspects of the lifestyle has not changed. things like the water invention to keep the water cool, or how the markets have similar food. its amazing how much the culture was kept the same. i also thought them finding evidence of buildings on that once lived on land was interesting, and how they were crafty people.
I think it is so awesome to know where the concepts of dates and time originated. And to have invented writing? These people were brilliant! Not to mention hard working - I can't imagine anyone today taking the time and energy to build those kinds of structures without any modern technology. Not to get all philosophical, but the inventions of these people (cuneiform, the wheel, etc) confirms that at one point in history someone did in fact have an original thought. Maybe we are capable of such a thing after all.
Amazing Civilization, too bad they died out, and its really unfortunate that we don't have any evidence of how their spoken language would be. By the way, I was always under the impression that the wheel was invented earlier? Or at some other time? Clarification please?
Man I really enjoyed the information that was provided by this vide. The people of mesopotamia are extremely stong for their ablility to withstand living in such a harsh climate. The french gentalman was kind of difficult to understand. But overall I would say that this video is cool.
Loved listening to the music; kept me interested. The video was short but very informative. The livestyles and culture of the Mesopotamian people were very traditional and old fashion. The village people were very close and comfortable with their living conditions. They practices the same duties everyday; cooking preparing food. It was interesting how they made the bread and cooked it.
